First snow of the season. The snowblower works great, and the roads are passable. Much has happened since my last post. Retirement happened. I find it interesting to adjust to this sudden change of daily life. I am beginning to adjust to the routine of no routine. I have time for friends, miss some of my colleagues, but am up to my ears in projects, and peace and quiet. The dog and cat love having me home.

Habits of Lifelong learning
You know, the easiest and hardest habit for me is the one of teaching and mentoring. I teach staff and customers every day. It is one of the most fulfilling parts of my job at SCLD and in my neighborhood. I have enjoyed being engaged and useful in that way. And with Learning 2.0, I am back to being a learner. I love having people teach me, but I need to find the time to practice, stumble a bit (because that is how I learn) and ask any number of capable techies here for help.
Play is of course the best habit of all, but I want to be faster at the technoplay, which pulls me away from my books, my dog and my cat...

The Lady plays her way to computer guruness!
I have just created my blog, and am ready to get in touch with the whole blogworld. SCLD, my library, is doing a learning 2.0 program to give us an opportunity to do all these fun things like blogging, and 23 degrees of other techy things, like face book (I am on) and linkdin (I am on there too, if I spelled it right)
So stay tuned as I work through these 12 weeks of computer play.
